The Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet)
The Danish supervisory authority for data protection, overseeing compliance with the GDPR and the Danish Data Protection Act. It handles complaints from citizens, conducts inspections of companies and authorities, receives data breach notifications, and publishes guidance and templates. It can express criticism, issue orders and recommend fines — in Denmark GDPR fines are generally set by the courts following a police report. Its guidance documents are a good starting point when an SME sets up its GDPR documentation.
